Arizona Tile donated a slab of granite for the kitchen countertops for our cottages.  But, a lot of work must be done to convert a slab into a countertop.  The slab must be cut to the desired length and width.  Holes must be cut for the sink and faucet.  Edge pieces are crafted and secured to the top, and the countertop must be polished to a smooth, glossy finish.  Chris Geldert reached out to Jarrod Wimpee for help.  Jarrod learned CAD/CAM skills in Chris’ class at SMHS and is now CAD/CAM Manager for So Cal Counterworks.  Jarrod asked Jade Rodier, President [...]

John Page, the owner of Interior Specialties, reached out to the Warrior Village Project, eager to help us with our drywall needs after being told about our project by Prevost Construction. John spoke to Nigel Smith, Manager of the San Diego Branch of L&W Supply, who agreed to sell Interior Specialties the materials for the job at cost. John offered to have his staff install the drywall, although their work schedule was so busy that it was going to be difficult to fit us in before September.
